Event Brief

ICAO has specified that treatment of ice and snow deposits on aircrafts on the ground is an absolute necessity for safe winter operations.  After a series of accidents and incidents in the past years, we finally have now the “ICAO/IATA Global De-Icing/Anti-Icing Standard”, which shall standardize our winter operation around the world. With this step forward, having also the regulators involved, we have the opportunity to improve flight safety under freezing conditions.
